Background

Onmaku ('offering curtain' in the local dialect) began in 1998, merging Imabari's older festivals into a two-day dance-and-fireworks format, with the finale night as the Shimanami area's biggest fireworks event.

The venue is Imabari Port, about 15 minutes on foot from JR Imabari Station (Yosan Line; about 40 minutes from Matsuyama by limited express).
